North America’s longest-running solo performance festival returns for a 14th year, featuring great one-person shows from across Canada and beyond. Uno Fest is produced in Victoria BC by Intrepid Theatre, producers of the annual Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival.
This year 12 solo performers from around Canada and the US will take to the stage at two downtown venues: the Intrepid Theatre Club and Metro Studio, including Mike Daisey, TJ Dawe, Missie Peters, urban ink, Chris Gibbs, Morgan Brayton, and Nile Seguin.
The 2011 Uno Fest also features a great range of theatre workshops for professionals and emerging artists, the UnoWorks series for local work in development, a screening of Soderbergh’s new documentary about Spalding Gray, and fun special events including Intrepid’s famous monologue throwdown, Monobrow, hosted by The Showdown’s Rod Peter Jr.
Tickets and passes are on sale NOW! Program Guides are available in all Monday Mag boxes (top shelf) and at Intrepid Theatre (Fisgard at Blanshard).
